Description

Ford is investing $5.6 billion to build its stateofthe art manufacturing facilities at Blue Oval City in West Tennessee. The Tennessee Electric Vehicle Center (TEVC) will produce the next generation electric trucks. On 3600 acres we are building our first mega campus in more than a generation and its electric. This brandnew facility will use Fords 100years of automobile manufacturing expertise and will be among the largest automotive manufacturing campus in U.S. history. Like the iconic Rouge complex in Michigan done a century earlier Blue Oval City will usher in a new era for American manufacturing and will harness Fords global manufacturing expertise and innovative technologies. Blue Oval City embodies the transformational Ford plan for growth and value creation in combining existing strengths and new capabilities. Blue Oval City aspires to have 100 renewable energy zero waste to landfill and reusing water to help make sure our planet is in it for the long haul.



Responsibilities

What youll do

  • Use Vis Plant monitoring software to review cycle times of automation review and follow up automation projects and installations
  • Troubleshoot PLC robot and other automation problems
  • Update program backups for automation
  • Program new installations
  • Reprogram automation for engineering changes and improvements
  • Coordinate automation campaigns


Qualifications

Youll have

  • Engineering Degree
  • Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls
  • Panel view use/programming Servo and VFD drives.
  • Electrical background (Electrician or technician)
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal team building and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with VFDs Armor starts encoders and network/Ethernet controls.

Even better you may have

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering
  • 2 years of related experience
  • Strong problem solving skills including 8Ds FMEAs and DMAICs
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot all body equipment and continuously evaluate equipment for improvement for quality and delivery
  • Siemens programming
  • TIA portal
  • Fanuc robot experience
  • Gudel automation
  • RS Logics Microsoft office
  • PLC
  • Ability to read prints AutoCAD interpret and modify electrical schematics
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Simulation modeling exposure
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience
  • Lean Tools 5S Kanban Pokayoke and Value Stream Mapping
  • DMAIC and DMADV (DFSS) Project Methodology experience
  • TQM and Kaizen Methods
  • FMEA PPAP and DOEs experience
  • Visual Factory Management
