About your new role:
Bethel is an 85bed facility where you will work under the direction of the Registered Nurse and in close collaboration with residents their families and the multidisciplinary team. This role is pivotal in delivering personcentered care and providing individual support to residents within the facility. You will assist in promoting both the physical and emotional wellbeing of residents through engaging and meaningful daily activities.
In addition this role involves providing clinical service delivery and working alongside the Registered Nurse to implement evidencebased best practices and quality initiatives throughout the facility.
- Provides clinical interventions care and support within the scope of enrolled nursing practice to optimize residents wellbeing in consultation with the Registered Nurse.
- Ensures care plans are aligned with residents changing needs and promotes personcentered care.
- Uses flexible approaches to meet resident needs while respecting their rights to choice control and autonomy.
- Incorporates cultural spiritual and personal preferences into daily care and activities.
- Builds trusting relationships with residents advocating for their physical and emotional needs.
- Monitors and manages residents health and wellbeing promptly reporting any concerns to the RN.
- Encourages and supports residents in building relationships with peers and family members.
- Communicates effectively and respectfully with residents and families providing guidance and support as needed.
- Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team including medical officers and allied health professionals to ensure holistic care.
- Ensures compliance with policies safety regulations and documentation standards.
- Provides leadership and guidance to Care Partners fostering a safe and supportive work environment.
- Administers medications according to policy and contributes to continuous improvement and clinical governance.
- Participates in ongoing professional development and meets AHPRA requirements.
Skills and Experience:
- Qualified as an Enrolled Nurse with current registration with AHPRA.
- Good clinical and care skills commensurate with being an Enrolled Nurse.
- Demonstrated ability to relate positively with the aged care population with empathy understanding and respect.
- Effective verbal written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Able to work flexibly and contribute positively to a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities and complete a busy workload.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing development of relevant knowledge skills and attitudes.
- Able to promote the physical and emotional wellbeing of people through a partnership approach to everyday needs including activities of daily living.
- Commitment to providing a customer centric approach.
- Working knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards and legislation.
- Working knowledge of ACFI.
- Demonstrated proficiency in a range of IT applications.
Conditions of Employment
- Willingness to obtain a National Police Clearance (completed through BaptistCare)
- Willingness to undergo a preemployment medical examination
- Two reference checks required
