Neuroradiologist

Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN seeks a strong clinical fellowship trained Neuroradiologist who is CAQcertified or CAQ eligible and desires an advanced clinical practice with opportunities for research and education.This opportunity offers a collegial work environment a competitive benefits package and an excellent quality of practice. Active Research Interest and/or subspecialty expertise is highly desirable which can be in diagnostic areas or in nonvascular spineintervention.

Our Neuroradiology group consists of more than 55 dedicated clinical and research neuroradiologists physician assistants and imaging scientists. Our active clinical practice conducted over 100000 MRI exams in 2023 on a collective fleet of 45 MRI scanners on the Rochester campus. These exams include multiple advanced imaging techniques including fMRI and a 7T magnet for clinical use as well as research purposes addition a clinical PET/MRI scanner is fully operational allowing for practice growth and research possibilities particularly in the areas of epilepsy imaging head and neck malignancy dementia and brain tumorimaging.

The practice also includes the full scope of CT fluoroscopy and interventional and procedurebased modalities including image guided biopsy spine infection and intervention tumor ablation and myelography as well as diagnostic and interventional neuroangiography. An active intraoperative MRI suite and a hybrid procedural suite currently serve as centers of our growing neurointerventional practice operated in concert with neurosurgeons and neurologists. MR guided laser interstitial thermal therapies are frequently performed and MR guided focused ultrasound for treatment of neurological conditions is now being deployed.

Extensive educational opportunities exist particularly given Mayo Clinics global patient mix. There are 7 Neuroradiology fellowship positions available each year and there are over 50 trainees in our residency program.Numerous research opportunities are present on multiple fronts given our close working relationships with clinical colleagues and we benefit from strong physicist and scientist support.
