Find your purpose in a Lead Housekeeper position keeping our facilities clean and safe for those we serve and those who serve them. All while kickstarting a great career in healthcareworking with a caring team of coworkers in our Rice Memorial EVS department. Our team consists of around 30 amazing employees and a dedicated manager that works tirelessly to create a positive working environment where everyone can enjoy their work life. The Housekeeping crew is comprised of many veterans and a few new additions. If you are a hardworking dependable type then you will definitely appreciate the dedication level of this team around you.
The Lead Housekeeper will work with the Supervisor to ensure that the highest possible standards are maintained in the Housekeeping Department at the Rice Memorial Hospital. This will be accomplished by utilization of a scheduled preventive care program as instructed by the Housekeeping Supervisor. This position must be capable of performing all duties as a Housekeeper and they must be able to coordinate all staff scheduling as well as will serve as backup Supervisor in the Supervisors absence.
Schedule:
- Part Time 16 hours every two weeks
- Every other Weekend 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Holiday rotation
Pay & Benefits:
- Starting pay begins at $18.95 per hour and increases with experience
- Pay range: $18.95 $24.42 per hour

- This is a Union position and you will be required to join the AFSCME 3296 Union within 30 days from start.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred must be able to read and write English.
- Must have basic math knowledge and be able to follow instructions.
- Knowledgeable about housekeeping procedures/techniques.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Supervisor PM Staff and Departments.
- Previous hospital housekeeping and supervising experience preferred.
