Job Description
Hire Resolves client a leading mining company is currently seeking a skilled Metallurgical Foreman to join their team based in the Krugersdorp Gauteng.
Requirements:
Senior Certificate (Grade 12
Supervisory course or First line manager course
Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification in metallurgy / related field.
Min 5 years experience in metallurgical operations with demonstrated proficiency in processing plant operation maintenance management and planning.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with Safety Health and Environmental regulations within the plant during your shift following MTR Operations Safety Standards Policies and MHSA procedures.
Communicate clearly with staff and various disciplines to promote understanding and adherence to instructions and regulations.
Hold regular team meetings to discuss production safety and workrelated matters fostering a culture of collaboration.
Provide clear directives and offer guidance to the team in addressing problem areas.
Plan lead organize and oversee operations within the designated area ensuring alignment with company objectives.
Carry out all reasonable and nonroutine tasks assigned by the Plant Manager or Senior Metallurgist.
Manage process conditions and prioritize breakdowns to ensure timely repairs and minimize production downtime.
Maintain sufficient critical spare parts inventory onsite to facilitate quick replacements.
Track and document process equipment maintenance ensuring compliance with maintenance schedules and standards.
