Requirements:
- LPT Licensed Pharmacy Tech State Pharmacy Technician Registration/Licensure required.
- Certification under the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) preferred.
- 12 years experience in Hospital Pharmacy preferred.
About the Job:
- Under the direct supervision of the Director of Pharmacy and/or Registered Pharmacists the Pharmacy Technician will assist pharmacists in delivering safe and effective pharmaceutical care manage medication distribution and ensure the smooth operation of the pharmacy.
- The ideal candidate will be organized efficient and committed to providing excellent service to our healthcare team and patients.
- Medication Preparation: Assists in the preparation and dispensing of medications including compounding labeling and verifying medication orders under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Inventory Management: Maintains accurate inventory levels by monitoring stock ordering supplies and conducting regular inventory audits to ensure the availability of medications and pharmacy supplies.
- Patient Interaction: Provides excellent customer service by answering questions from patients and healthcare staff regarding medications and pharmacy services ensuring a positive experience.
- Record Keeping: Maintains accurate records of medication orders dispensing activities and inventory transactions in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Participates in quality assurance activities including medication storage checks and compliance with safety standards to promote safe medication practices.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensures that pharmacy equipment is functioning properly and assist in troubleshooting any issues that arise.
- Collaboration: Works closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to facilitate effective communication and coordinate patient care.
- Professional Development: Stays current with pharmacy practices and participate in ongoing training and educational opportunities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
- Demonstrates computer skills calculations arithmetic English and grammar
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple priorities.
