Interim House Inc. a comprehensive substance use program for women located in West Mt. Airy is seeking a individual to serve as our residential therapist. The person in this position will be someone with a warm friendly personality who is comfortable working at the front desk answering the phone greeting visitors to the facility interacting with IHI employees program participants volunteers PHMC staff and other agency personnel both in person and on the phone.
This person will also provide administrative support to the program director supervise the parttime outpatient administrative support staff and handle a wide variety of administrative and managerial tasks to help ensure the smooth flow of program administrative operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct Service:
- Provide individual and group therapy to a caseload consisting of up to 68 residential clients
- Provide psychoeducational and/or social skills training groups per the Residential Activity Schedule includes but not limited to DBT therapy
- Provide group therapy once per week
- Meet with individuals to follow up on any evening and/or weekend issues
- In collaboration with program participants discuss review and create initial recovery plan within two 2 days of intake
- Complete Part 2 of BioPsychosocial History/Evaluation within 10 days of admission
- Complete Master Comprehensive Recovery Plan within10 days of admission.
- Ensure each Recovery Plan is updated every 30 days in collaboration with program participant.
Funding And Authorization Duties:
- Adhere to all funding protocols including completion of the ASAM and continued stay reviews and ensure all clients are authorized and funded for services
- Document and update EVS/funding report to admissions coordinator every week at case review
Reports Documentation and Administrative Duties
- Enter all individual and group notes into the PHMC Client Registry within one week 48 hours.
- Adhere to all credentialing and licensing regulations
- Ensure program participant charts are maintained and that a continuous record of all contacts events and progress toward accomplishment of goals as stated in the treatment plan.
- Complete Discharge Summary within one week of program participants termination of treatment.
- Provide assessment on all clients AWOLs / AMAs and discuss with supervisor
- Ensure followup procedure is completed for all discharged program participants
- Provide referrals for support services when requested
- Enhance update and remain current with educational advances within the discipline and field by attending at least 25 hours of inservice or educational experience. Maintain file of all training certificates and training documentation forms for licensing purposes.
- Ensure participation in mandatory HIV/AIDS 6 hours) and TB/STD 4 hours) trainings within one year of hire
- Attend staff meetings and other meetings as scheduled
- Alert Clinical Director and/or Program Director of any need to know concerns regarding clients that might jeopardize the safety of the program client or other clients.
- Adhere to all program policies and procedures
- Record Progress Notes in the Data/Assessment/Plan (DAP) format.
- Attend weekly case review meetings and consultations with the psychiatrist
- Complete and send all required monthly reports to Project Dawn Court FIR Family Court etc. within time frames provided by each Provider.
- In collaboration with clinical coordinator gather analyze and document assessment of FTP designated client screening tools to assist in annual report to foundation
- Other duties assigned by Clinical Director or Program Director.
QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM
- Masters degree in human servicerelated field and at least one year experience in a related field Bachelors Degree in human service related field and at least two years experience in a related field or Associates Degree in a related field and five years in a related field.
- Knowledge of chemical dependency and the recovery process with particular awareness of the needs of women from diverse cultures
- Familiarity with or experience in womens clinical issues.
- Competence in individual and group therapy with an emphasis on empowerment
- Ability to empower women and provide a safe environment
- Ability to implement evidence based therapeutic technique essential to assisting women in the process of recovery.
Salary: Based on experience
Days & Hours per week:
- Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5pm Rotating Saturday Adjusted hours
