Job Description
What youll get to do:
- Lead and manage a team of mechanical engineers and designers.
- Ensure project integrity budget adherence and client satisfaction.
- Drive business and client development activities to identify new opportunities.
- Oversee design calculations specifications and CAD drawings using AutoCAD and MicroStation.
- Provide technical oversight on energyrelated mechanical systems including piping thermodynamics and material specifications.
- Prepare project proposals schedules and cost estimates.
- Conduct compliance reviews develop processes and optimize energy station designs.
- Handle project administration tasks including billing and invoicing (experience with Deltek VantagePoint is a plus).
- Represent the firm in project meetings preconstruction visits and client site reviews.
- Collaborate with crossdisciplinary teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Travel domestically up to 10 annually.
What will make you successful:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 810 years of experience in mechanical engineering; prior group management experience preferred but not required.
- PE license preferred. PMP certification and NCEES record are a plus.
- Proficiency in design construction operation and maintenance of mechanical systems with expertise in energy projects.
- Knowledge of codes such as CFR 49 Parts 192/195 and ASME/ANSI B31.4/B31.8 is preferred.
- Experience in processrelated design pipe stress analysis thermodynamics and facility piping.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and MicroStation; HDD experience is a bonus.
- Strong communication leadership time management and organizational abilities.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to delivering quality results.
