Summary:
Senti Bio is seeking a talented and strong Accounting Manager/Senior Accounting Manager to join the team. The qualified candidate will scale with our growth. This hybrid position will be based in South San Francisco and will report to the Controller. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented able to analyze transactions with high accuracy have excellent communication skills be capable of multitasking and taking the initiative to drive process change and improvements.
Responsibilities:
Assist in developing strong internal control procedures identifying opportunities to enhance process and controls across all business areas
Assist in developing and maintaining a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; ensure team members are adhering to such policies and procedures
Assist with the manufacture accounting function including review of contracts preparation and booking of manufacturing/tax accrual reconciliation and journal entries and preparation of manufacturing spending reports
Work closely with other department leads to ensure that purchase orders are maintained/updated to reflect recent change orders account and project coding
Assist in payrollrelated functions including working crossfunctionally with People Operations to ensure timely payroll transactions
Assist in managing the accounting function including review of CRO reports preparation and booking of accrual reconciliation and journal entries and preparation of spending reports
Support the requirements of the annual audit and quarterly reviews through preparation of audit schedules and other support requested by the external auditors
Support the requirements of managements testing of internal controls through gathering support requested by audit consultants and reviewing any relevant internal control narratives
Reviewed contractual terms to record liabilities when deliverables were met
Qualifications:
BS or BA in Accounting or related field
Selfmotivation maturity and versatility
5 or more years progressive experience required
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
Advanced MS Excel and Word skills
Strong working knowledge of system processes internal controls GAAP and SOX regulations
CPA Preferred
Salary & Benefits:
Compensation for this role includes base salary annual target bonus and equity
The base salary range for this role is $XXXXXX. Starting pay is determined by multiple jobrelated factors including a candidates skills education and experience level benchmark and internal parity
