Job Description
Job Summary:
The Dietary Aide at Mountain Ridge Health & Rehab in Black Mountain North Carolina is a vital member of our healthcare team. This individual is responsible for providing support to our dietary department in order to ensure the delivery of highquality meals to our residents. As a fulltime individual contributor the Dietary Aide will work alongside our team to ensure the dietary needs of our residents are met and to provide exceptional customer service.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is an hourly position with a compensation range of $11.50 to $14 per hour paid semimonthly. In addition to competitive pay our employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including health dental and vision insurance paid time off and retirement savings plans.
Responsibilities:
Assisting with meal preparation and plating following dietary and nutritional guidelines
Setting up and cleaning dining areas before and after meal times
Ensuring proper food storage and handling procedures are followed
Taking meal orders and delivering meals to residents within designated time frames
Assisting with stocking and inventory of food and supplies
Following proper sanitation and safety guidelines
Providing exceptional customer service to residents answering questions and addressing concerns
Communicating with kitchen staff and dietary manager regarding any special dietary needs or restrictions
Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a dietary or food service role preferred
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Excellent customer service skills
Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
