Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and detailoriented Maintenance/Plant Engineer to drive equipment reliability preventive maintenance planning and data integrity initiatives within our facility. This role will focus on improving maintenance processes for critical equipment such as relief valves ensuring all equipment data is accurate and supporting operational efficiency and safety compliance. The ideal candidate will have handson experience in plant engineering maintenance systems and crossfunctional collaboration with operations EHS and planning teams.
Key Responsibilities:
*Lead efforts to audit validate and update mechanical equipment and relief valve data in SAP and document management systems.
*Perform maintenance removal replacement and inspections of industrial relief valves and mechanical equipment.
*Support turnaround activities by assisting in the planning and of relief valve servicing and replacement
*Collaborate with planners and technicians to standardize preventive maintenance plans including operational steps (scaffolding insulation removal rigging requirements).
*Develop and implement SOPs and best practices for turnaround planning and equipment replacement activities.
*Assist with engineering reviews and validation of equipment specifications working with vendors to ensure proper material selection and documentation.
*Oversee equipment inspection photo documentation and ensure consistent data integrity between SAP and digital document platforms.
*Conduct root cause analysis and support incident/accident investigations related to equipment failure.
*Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance turnaround efficiency safety and maintenance effectiveness.
*Stay current with OSHA requirements pressure equipment standards and mechanical integrity best practices.
Qualifications:
*Associates or Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
*3 years of experience in plant engineering maintenance engineering or industrial reliability roles (preferred experience with relief valves or pressure equipment).
*Strong knowledge of mechanical systems relief valves and pressure equipment maintenance.
*Experience working with SAP or other CMMS platforms.
*Proficiency in reading engineering drawings equipment specifications and technical documents.
*Strong organizational communication and problemsolving skills.
*OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
*Knowledge of turnaround planning project management and process safety management is a plus.
