What youll do
As a data engineer focused on web sing you will build solutions for processing big and unstructured data sets.. You will be responsible for extracting and ingesting data from websites using Complianceapproved web crawling tools. Specifically you will:
- Own the creation process of these tools services and workflows to improve crawl/se analysis reports and data management
- Be responsible for testing the data and se to ensure accuracy quality and compliance
- Own the process to identify and rectify any issues with breaks and scale ses as needed
Whats required
- Solid Python and SQL knowledge
- Experience orchestrating automated programs at scale
- Working experience with cloudbased technologies (AWS stack)
- Familiarity with Linux/UNIX HTTP HTML JavaScript and Networking
- Familiarity with common techniques and tools for crawling extracting and processing data (e.g. Requests BeautifulSoup Selenium Playwright Sy Pandas Spark etc.
- Working knowledge of version control systems and open source practices
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills and the ability to understand data requests and translate nontechnical problems into technical requirements
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken English)
- Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent demonstrated experience
