What youll do
This position is a dedicated and experienced software engineering role. You will be part of a developer service team that will work collaboratively with business users to provide application software enhancements supporting the firms Equities Trading business. Applications managed by this group are critical to the firms trading activity.
- Architecture: Our objective is to develop new system components and enhance existing ones using the Port and Adapters/Hexagonal Architecture
- Our Main Stack: JavaScript/TypeScript React C# .NET 8 .NET Framework 4.8 Kafka gRPC SignalR
- Possibilities: AWS OpenShift Redis Akka MS Orleans
This role is responsible for delivering new business capabilities system upgrades and new features supporting resiliency and capacity improvements automation and controls enhancements and integration with internal and external financial vendors and services. Furthermore this role may involve supporting production trading systems in cooperation with dedicated support and operations personnel.
- Collaborate with the team to design and build highly resilient distributed systems that work on large sets of financial data and must be processed as close to realtime as possible
- Build software that is used almost 24 hours a day (USA Europe Asia)
- Work closely with business users
- Participate in identifying new technologies to continuously improve software systems
- Implement DevOps practices within the team (GitHub/GitLab Jenkins)
- Provide production support to diagnose and resolve elevated application software production incidents and implement proactive remediation measures

- Being open to work in a distributed Dev Team across multiple time zones (USA Poland Hong Kong)
- Minimum 8 years objectoriented programming experience with C#/.NET
- Significant experience working with / understanding databases primarily MS SQL Server
- Must have experience in writing automated tests unit tests TestDriven Development
- Knowledge of design/architecture patterns distributed systems microservices observability and monitoring and containerization (Docker)
- Exhibits strong personal responsibility and takes ownership of the work
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills is a must
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Commitment to the highest ethical standards
- Bachelors degree in computer science or another technical/scientific field
