Vanguards Internal Audit & SOX department is hiring an Engagement Manager to join our Global Investment & Finance Audit Services (GIFAS) team. As part of our global product center of excellence you will lead riskbased audit and consulting engagements across portfolio management trading and risk management functions focusing on evaluating and enhancing internal controls. Youll play a pivotal role in implementing audit strategy on key risk topics collaborating closely with stakeholders to drive improvements in control environments.
We seek individuals with strong critical thinking project management and relationshipbuilding skills who can communicate effectively exercise sound judgment and influence senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Lead audit and consulting engagements ensuring timely highquality results and actionable recommendations to improve controls.
Define and communicate engagement objectives scope and key risks to the audit team department management and business clients.
Present findings to management analyzing data to identify root causes and control gaps and advocate for improvements to strengthen controls and processes.
Guide audit team members with clear expectations and constructive feedback to support their growth.
Build and manage relationships with business leaders and risk partners across divisions.
Contribute to special projects and additional duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum of five years related work experience preferably in the financial services industry including asset management or banking. Audit risk or controls experience preferred.
Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Advanced degree is a plus.
CIA CFA FRM or other financial certification preferred but not required.
Strong technical expertise in asset management including investment and trading lifecycles product management and capital markets and with a proven understanding of regulatory requirements relevant to the financial services industry.
Demonstrated ability to function in a fast paced ambiguous environment working with multiple and diverse responsibilities.
Strong conceptual thinking aptitude.
Excellent time and project management skills.
Client focused mindset with strong relationship leadership skills.
Data analytics literacy with the ability to apply analytical techniques to extract actionable insights and drive informed decisionmaking.
Strong interpersonal skills including: written and verbal communications willingness to assist in areas outside of direct assignments when necessary and commitment to selfimprovement and completion of team objectives.
Special Factors:
This position is hybrid and would require you to be local to our Chesterbrook PA office.
