Please Note:
We are on the lookout for a fulltime Dental Assistant or Dental Sterile Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong desire to grow in the dental field. We will require the successful candidate to have their Infection Control License and be up to date on all OSHA/BBP infection control procedures. A Dental Assistant with xray certification is preferred.
As a Sterile Technician with Winters Healthcare you will work alongside the dental team optimizing workflow safety and sterilization of instruments and work areas in the dental office. The sterile technician supports the services we provide by supplying and maintaining a steady inventory of sterile instruments trays and equipment. The Sterile Technician will be responsible for safely collecting transporting cleaning and sterilizing instruments as well as efficient setup and clean up of dental trays and dental areas. Chairside assistance and greeting of patients and escorting to the operatories may be necessary.
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding and working knowledge of exceptional health and safety standards following all applicable OSHA and BBP regulations to ensure the utmost safety for themselves their peers and the patients we serve. In addition the ideal candidate enjoys working with people making connections and building relationships; strong communication skills are a must listening included and the ability to establish effective trusting relationships and passion to provide exceptional care to the patients of Winters Healthcare.

Dental Sterile Technician
Reports to: Dental Department Manager
FLSA Status: Nonexempt hourly
Summary of Duties:
The Sterile Technician works within amodel of teambased care as part of the dental care team. The sterile technician supports the services we provide by supplying and maintaining a steady inventory of sterile instruments trays and equipment. The Sterile Technician is responsible for safely collecting transporting cleaning and sterilizing instruments as well as efficient setup and cleanup of dental trays and dental areas. Chairside assistance and greeting of patients and escorting to the operatories may be necessary. Occasional front office duties include greeting patients scheduling and confirming appointments updating treatment records and receiving payments.

While performing the duties and tasks of this job Employee is regularly required to stand; walk; work on irregular surfaces; reach with hands and arms; use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop kneel crouch bend squat twist or crawl. This job requires physical effort and the ability to place or retrieve items below waist level may be required.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision and depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Employee occasionally may be required to transfer patients to/from a wheelchair. Environmental/ Working Conditions:
The environment is a standard dental office environment. Regular office hours are Monday through Friday. Occasionally evenings weekends and overtime may be required. Office hours may be changed as business needs dictate. While performing the duties of this job the Employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals required to work near moving mechanical parts and sharp instruments and may be at risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
