Rotating 08 Hour (United States of America)Under general supervision performs various simple to complex radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures. Perform a variety of technical tasks involved in operating radiographic equipment and making radiographs of designated portions of the body. Duties include transferal of images archiving and performing of appropriate imaging protocols which meet the departments standards of quality. Works as an independent technologist and in a variety of diagnostic areas with knowledge of emergency and after hours procedures. May supervise technical and ancillary personnel in assigned work areas/shift in the absence of Lead Technologist and/or supervisor

Acts as Lead or Supervisor in their absence by directing patient flow assuring that resources are matched to the appropriate tasks trouble equipment difficulties and place service calls for repairs. Assists the radiologist during procedures when needed Ensures proper darkroom techniques to include ability to ascertain suboptimal film processing and equipment malfunction. Follows established radiation safety guidelines ALARA (as low as reasonably acceptable) in reference to time distance and shielding Operates a variety of imaging and fluoroscopic equipment in performing a variety of imaging examinations. Utilizes proper body mechanics to ensure patient safety upon moving and/or transferring patients Participates in orientation and training of assigned staff students and residents. Prepares patient for exam i.e. identifying oneself explaining procedures confirming patient ID and checking correctness of the order Prepares room and equipment. Troubleshoots equipment failures and reports problems to the appropriate individual

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $65.42 $73.69 per hourThe salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity experience education specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
