Raytheon Vision Systems is growing! RVS is a world leader in the research design and manufacturing of focal plane arrays and flightbased vision systems. We have an opportunity for a Sr Principal Semiconductor Yield Process Engineer to join a small team of seniorlevel yield engineers working on continuous technical progress and improvement while leveraging crossfunctional representatives from the entire Operations team. This position will be primarily focused on Silicon Readout Integrated Circuit (ROIC) yield improvement working collaboratively with the ROIC foundries IC Design Test and System Engineering to improve ROIC yield as well as downstream FPA yield. This is an opportunity to utilize and expand your keen understanding of semiconductor processing metrology and failure analysis as well as your strong statistical analysis skills.

What You Will Do:

  • Monitor process and product yields across multiple ROIC wafer process lines at multiple ROIC foundries.
  • Collaborate with all levels of stakeholders (chief engineers IC design engineers product engineers ROIC foundry engineers process engineers technicians etc. to drive continuous improvement solutions.
  • Lead RCCA and yield improvement teams and assist with scoping strategic initiatives to improve future ROIC performance at multiple foundries.
  • Mine process equipment and metrology data product data and characterization data to identify root cause and drive corrective actions.
  • Perform statistical analysis of large datasets to find commonalities between similar ROIC designs and process flows driving the organization toward applied intelligence and more automated use of big data.
  • Identify potential yieldlimiting defect sources and defining structured problemsolving activities

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a university degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics or a STEM degree in a related field with minimum of 10 years of engineering experience or an advanced degree with 7 years of engineering experience.
  • Experience in silicon process integration or yield engineering.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required as only US citizens are authorized to access management system due to government contractual requirements.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience working in a semiconductor fab processing CMOS imaging sensor ROICs as a process engineer process integration engineer or yield engineer
  • Experience working with database infrastructures and performing data analysis including JMP Minitab Tableau (or other related software).
  • Experience leading teams through yield improvement in a semiconductor manufacturing environment to include technical writing and presentation experience as well as experience organizing and forging teaming partnerships with all levels of Operations and Manufacturing stakeholders.
  • Experience in infrared sensor development and electrooptic sensing system manufacturing
  • Experience with high mix precision electromechanical/semiconductor products in an Operations environment
  • Experience leading formal Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) or other structured problem solving activities.
  • Experience performing or analyzing materials characterization and failure analysis data.
  • Experience with Design for Manufacturing process rules and implementation in high mix semiconductor manufacturing environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills ability to collaborate crossfunctionally within RVS and with external silicon foundries.

Visit RVS: salary range for this role is 137000 USD 275000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
