Job Description

Experience

  • Must have two to four years of Marriott full service experience.
  • Present a clean pleasant professorial image to project positive polished appearance to potential guests and clients.

Essential:

  • Drive Guest satisfaction scores for the property
  • Strategic Leader for the Rooms Department which include Front Office and Housekeeping.
  • Proactively manage the Operations by creating an environment thats engaging where motivated people want to join learn do their best and advance.
  • Increases efficiency of operations by analyzing procedures and practices and implementing alternative strategies as required
  • Provides the leadership vision and direction to bring together and prioritize the hotel goals in a way that will be efficient and effective.
  • Works with department managers to develop and implement departmental strategies and manage the implementation of the brand service strategy and brand initiatives.
  • Clearly describe assign and delegate responsibility and authority for the operation of the various departments under his/her supervision
  • Ensures that Rooms Operations meet the brands standards with Guest Service associate satisfaction financial processes and consistent adherence to policies and laws.
  • Communicates Sales Events and Engineering to provide smooth working relations between departments
  • Assists in contract negotiations for the property (Valet security etc)
  • Evaluate changes in guest needs market changes and industry trends to recommend appropriate product/service and operational changes necessary to ensure guest and associate satisfaction and strong revenue and financial performance
  • Evaluate levels of Guest satisfaction and monitor trends with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Understands associate and guest satisfaction results and developing game plans to attack need areas and expand on the strengths.
  • For department head positions hire schedule train develop empower coach and counsel conduct performance and salary reviews resolve problems provide open communications and recommend discipline and termination as appropriate.
  • Solicits associate and management feedback and reviews associate satisfaction results to identify and address associate problems or concerns
  • Establishes and maintains open collaborative relationships with associates and managers ensures associates and managers do the same within the team.
  • Clear the way for managers to guide inspire transform conflict into effective problem solving enabling cohesive teams to ensure optimal guest experience and realize business and financial goal achievement.
  • Ensures recognition is taking place across areas of responsibility.
  • Develop and manage of Rooms division budgets and revenue forecasts. Develop and implement controls for expense management. Ensure staff is utilizing labor management tools to schedule and control labor costs.
  • Assists in performing required annual Quality audit with GM.
  • Reviews financial statements sales and activity reports and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
  • Actively manage and monitor guest ledger and direct bill accounts by ensuring an effective cash control system is in place and all credit card and check cashing policies are followed.
  • Represents operational departments in capital spending plans and actions
  • Monitor revenues and costs on a daily basis and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Act as General Manager in his/her absence when necessary.
  • Perform all other reasonable job duties as requested.
