CDL / Flat Bed

Compensation:$20hr

Hours:Monday Friday 6am 3pm

Duties:
  • Delivering building materials to residential and commercial job sites
  • Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status following applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Accurately complete corresponding delivery paperwork and work with logistics management and customers to communicate issues with loads and delivery time.
  • Inspect vehicle(s) for any safety or operational defects using DOT maintenance and safety checklists and ensuring emergency equipment is in proper working order.
  • Use of Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) during operation of vehicle; driver will be trained accordingly
Requirements:
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record
  • No more than one 1 moving violation on the MVR in the previous three 3 years.
  • No speeding excessively involving and speed of 15 mph or more above the posted speed limit in a 3year period.
  • Successfully pass a background check
  • Must pass a preemployment drug screen
  • Have a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL
  • Minimum of two 2 years verifiable tractor/trailer overtheroad or local driving experience for applicable tractor/trailer drivers.

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and communication skills required
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule.
  • Ability to lift carry push and pull a minimum of 50 pounds required.
  • Securing straps across the width of a trailer to secure the product on flat bed trailers.
  • Dropping and hooking trailers
  • Accurately complete corresponding delivery paperwork and work with logistics management and customers to communicate issues with loads and delivery time.
  • Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status following applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Use of Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) during operation of vehicle; driver will be trained accordingly
  • Drive trucks to weigh stations before and after loading and along routes as needed to document weights and to comply with state regulations.
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures related to all facets of job including proper wearing of company PPE.
