Location: Stellenbosch South Africa (Hybrid)
Salary: R110240 per month plus benefits

About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to apply advanced data analytics statistical modelling and machine learning solutions to optimise business performance. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing predictive models maintaining and enhancing statistical frameworks and promoting datadriven decisionmaking across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement advanced analytics statistical models and machine learning solutions
- Maintain and enhance existing AI and machine learning models to optimise business performance
- Promote the adoption of data science methodologies across the organisation
- Manage datadriven projects that drive strategic business decisions
- Mentor and guide junior data scientists fostering a culture of continuous learning
Requirements
- Masters degree in Mathematics Statistics Data Science or a related quantitative field
- PhD in a related field is advantageous
- Six to eight years of experience in data science including predictive model development and implementation
- Experience in the healthcare industry is advantageous
Strong knowledge of statistical methods data science techniques and machine learning algorithms including neural networks random forests and boosting methods - Expertise in programming languages such as Python R SQL and SAS
- Proficiency in data storytelling and visualisation using Tableau Power BI or SAS Visual Analytics
- Ability to explain complex analytical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders
- Knowledge of AI and machine learning innovations and their applications in the healthcare industry
- Strong project management critical thinking and problemsolving abilities
- Ability to build and deploy machine learning solutions using opensource and cloud technologies
