Company Overview:
The client provides centralized business services to government agencies local governments and nonprofit organizations. Also is dedicated to supporting public sector operations through essential services like fleet management printing and mail and surplus operations.
Job Summary:
Join our team as an oncall truck driver delivering mail and packages between state agencies using light to mediumduty commercial vehicles. This role involves ensuring timely pickups and deliveries operating equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks and providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities:
- Pickup and deliver mail between state agencies while ensuring timely and accurate service.
- Regularly lift move and transfer items weighing up to 75 lbs. Load/unload items (up to 1000 lbs) using equipment like dock lifts and truck lift gates.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections maintain mileage logs and ensure the safety of mail and packages during transport.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service answering questions and offering accurate information.
- Collaborate with others to maintain security and efficiency while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of driving experience with a valid unrestricted drivers license.
- Ability to read write and communicate clearly.
- Physical capability to repeatedly lift/move items weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Flexibility to work varying hours and shifts as needed.
- Commitment to maintaining a fragrancefree and professional work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Customer service experience 6 months preferred).
- Experience operating hand trucks forklifts pallet jacks and handheld tracking devices
Salary Range:
Schedule: OnCall Pay: $19.98 $22.98 Hourly
