This is a skilled Home Health position. The CNA would be required to travel from patient to patient within the continuum service area to primarily provide assistance with clients everyday living.
Responsibilities include:
Follow the plan of care established by the supervising clinician
Bathing and Dressing
Light Housekeeping
Hair Care
Assistance with Ambulation/Transfers
Position Changing in Bed
Oral Hygiene
Changing Bed Linens for Incontinent Patients
Shaving
Skin Care
- Assists patients with personal care as needed for optimal recovery in the patients home. Performs basic nursing skills as delegated by an RN and in accordance with policy and procedure to promote patient health and wellness.
- Provides for a safe environment and safe delivery of care.
- Performs administrative support functions.
- Maintains necessary skills and competencies.
- In addition to the above job responsibilities other duties may be assigned.
Job requires frequent bending/stooping and extensive driving within Northern Virginia. Proficient communication auditory and visual skills. Attention to detail the ability to write legibly and lift/push/pull 20 100lb. May be exposed to chemicals blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
Experience: 2 years if previous skilled Home Health experience is preferred.
Licensure: Certified Nursing Aide certification (CNA) through the Virginia Board of Nursing. Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.
