Encourages and enhances the progression and efficient operation of the Respiratory Services Department. Treats patients from newborn pediatrics adolescents young middle and older adults. When requested assists daytoday operations of the Respiratory Department referring outofthe ordinary issues to the Manager and/or Medical Director as appropriate. Provides diagnostic testing to the patient to help optimize the total care given. Performs arterial punctures for blood gas analysis; knowledge in the operation maintenance troubleshooting and quality control of ABG analyzers. Abilities to use mechanical ventilators bilevel ventilation equipment peak flow meters ability to perform respiratory assessment and perform CPT.
Qualifications
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE TRAINING
1. Certified/Licensed EMT and/or EMTP by the state required
2. Current BCLS certification upon hire and maintain
3. ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
4. PALS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current
5. English fluency (written and verbally) Experience: Knowledge of the general/specific tasks necessary to the practice of Respiratory Care; requires demonstrated competency in the ability and knowledge to effectively care for the newborn to geriatric patient.
