Role: Disclosure Researcher Disclosure and Barring Service

Department: Performance & Governance

We have an exciting opportunity for two Disclosure Researchers to join our Disclosure and Barring Service within the Performance & Governance Team.As a Disclosure Researcher you will be responsible for researching data held on the police national computer local police systems and the police national database to identify relevant intelligence information.

Key responsibilities will be:

  • Interrogating researching collating and evaluating information sourced from police systems
  • Updating relevant systems
  • Receiving and recording all enquiries from both internal and external partners
  • Liaising with Force Departments/Districts other Police Forces Government Agencies and other Outside Agencies

Skills and experience:

  • Proven ability in the use of windowbased computer systems including MS Word and MS Excel
  • Current experience of working within an administration environment
  • Current experience of achieving targets and working towards Service Level Agreements & deadlines
  • Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy

Eligibility:

Applicants must meet the minimum requirement checkable history criteria which must be taken into account for individuals applying to work with South Yorkshire Police in any capacity. A minimum checkable history of 5 years is required for this role and successfully undergoing recruitment vetting procedure is a prerequisite of employment with South Yorkshire Police.
