Job Description

Bellefaire JCB is among the nations largest most experienced child service agencies providing a variety of mental health substance abuse education and prevention services. Bellefaire JCB helps more than 43000 youth and their families yearly achieve resiliency dignity and selfsufficiency through its more than 25 programs.

Position Summary: The Intake Specialist engages our clients along with their families to offer care coordination services through OhioRISE and initiates the completion of the (Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths CANS assessment and intake paperwork. The Intake Specialist is a key member of the Care Management Entity (CME) to help members get connected to OhioRISE services and improve the lives of families and members served.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Initiate clinical assessment (CANS) based on verbal written and/or facetoface interviews to determine appropriate level of treatment for client
  • Provide facetoface admission with clients and guardian. Entails completing all required clinical and administrative paperwork.
  • Make recommendations of agencies in the community or across the country should the need arise if Bellefaire JCB is unable to cover the needed service.
  • Assist in departmental coverage of the incoming referrals outreach and CANS assessments.
  • Manage a diverse caseload of all types of referrals representing the Agencys service array
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelors Degree is required. Masters Degree in Social Work or related field preferred
  • Valid Ohio LSW LISW or PCC preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience in the mental health field is required. Experience working with youth and their families is preferred
