Cattle Procurement Analyst II

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a Cattle Procurement Analyst II for JBS Regional Beef that reports onsite to the corporate office in Greeley Colorado.

The focus of this role is the operational side of the business unit in an analysis and reporting function. This includes working with cattle buyers and cattle accounting teams at several locations as well as business leadership to provide information and reports to enhance decisionmaking and improve processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Field phone calls from Cattle Suppliers to contract cattle to JBS.
  • Work with Cattle Accounting at the plants to ensure proper settlement of cattle payments
  • Answer questions from the USDA
  • Maintain current and produce new daily weekly monthly and annual reports on Cattle Procurement activities including but not limited to daily purchases estimated versus actual grading and condemned cattle
  • Analyze and track Cattle Procurement performance
  • Provide assistance to entire Cattle Procurement department on an as needed basis
  • Produce meaningful information which enhances Cattle Procurements decisionmaking abilities.
  • Will work cross functionally with Cattle Buyers Cattle Scheduling Corporate and Plant Accounting CPS/IT Team Business Analysis team other business units
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Agriculture Animal Science Ag. Economics or equivalent experience
  • 13 years in an analyst role or related experience
  • Strong organizational skills and acute attention to detail
  • Intermediate to Advanced skills in Excel required
  • Business Objects experience preferred
  • Selfmotivated with the ability to work independently and ask questions as needed
  • Experience with the Cattle and/or Meat business is preferred
  • Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • As a salaried position with the company you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities to attend Company events or as a representative of the Company in other situations. Unless otherwise specified in this posting the amount of travel may vary and the most qualified candidate must be willing and able to travel as business needs dictate.

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

  • Benefits: Vision Medical and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
  • Paid Time Off: sick leave vacation and 6 company observed holidays;
  • 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
  • Base salary range of $65000$77000;
  • Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Companys annual bonus plan the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and
