About the role
The IT Store Network Depot Engineer is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory accounts for networking and telecommunications hardware including Meraki and Fortinet SDWAN equipment Cisco VoIP devices and Apple iPhones. This role ensures efficient inventory tracking hardware staging for new store openings and relocations and appropriate processing of equipment from store closures.
The impact you can have
- Maintain accurate realtime inventory records for networking hardware specifically Meraki and Fortinet SDWAN gear Cisco VoIP equipment and iPhones.
- Coordinate and execute staging and configuration of network hardware for new store activations and store relocations.
- Receive audit and process hardware returned from store closings including proper assessment documentation and restocking or disposition.
- Generate detailed inventory and shipping reports regularly ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Collaborate closely with internal IT teams store operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth hardware transitions and minimize downtime.
- Support continuous improvement in inventory management processes to optimize accuracy efficiency and costeffectiveness.
- Maintain compliance with all asset management data security and inventory control policies.
Youll bring to the role
- Associates degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology Networking or a related field
- 2 years of experience in inventory management or IT asset management specifically involving networking and telecommunications hardware.
- Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs as necessary.
- Handson experience with Meraki and Fortinet SDWAN equipment Cisco VoIP and Apple iPhones preferred.
- Familiarity with staging configuration and deployment of IT network hardware in a retail environment.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to generate and interpret inventory and shipping reports.
- Proficiency with inventory management systems and standard productivity software (Excel Ivanti or equivalent).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customerfocused attitude.
