Chef (Care home)
Salary: Up to 277000
37.5 hours per week
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our clients team and help create delicious and nutritious meals for their residents. As a Chef you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for a large group of people while accommodating varying dietary needs and adhering to food safety regulations.
What Were Looking For
- Previous experience working as a Chef preferably within the healthcare or similar sector
- Certification in Level 2 Food Hygiene or equivalent
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations (COSHH Health & Safety HACCP)
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and service users
- A passion for creating delicious and visually appealing meals
- Able to adapt recipes to cater to various dietary needs
- Excellent time management and organisational skills

Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare meals in accordance with dietary needs and food safety regulations
- Execute cooking and food preparation tasks efficiently and to a high standard
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and service users to ensure an inclusive and positive dining experience
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
- Monitor inventory and order ingredients as needed
- Contribute to menu planning and development of new recipes
