Job Description

ICAN is seeking a full time Senior Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing services to neurodiverse youth and excited to work in a collaborative environment.

Your Role:

  • Assessing diagnosing screening and treating a variety of developmental disorders
    • Our population consists of Autism (ASD) ADHD languagebased learning disorders AAC users motor speech disorders articulation/phonological disorders and developmental delays
  • Provide clinical mentorship
  • Timely completion of documentation including daily SOAP notes progress notes initial and reevaluations
  • Implement evidence based neurodiversity affirming treatment techniques including sensorybased strategies and a strengthsbased approach to improve independence in childhood occupations
  • Collaborate with speech therapists physical therapists BCBAs psychologists and other team members to provide a whole child approach
  • Modify the learning environment to suit patients skill progressions
  • Effectively provide parent and family education
  • Engage in cultural responsiveness when treatment planning for culturally diverse population

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current Washington State Occupational Therapy License
  • 13 years experience preferred but open to new graduates
