Position: PRN CNA
Schedule: Must work a minimum of one shift per month & one observed holiday
Pay Range: $20.80 $23.04 per hour based on experience
- $2 Evening Shift Differential
- $1 Night Shift Differential
Position Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated PRN Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide highquality patientcentered care in various settings as needed. This role requires flexibility and the ability to pick up a minimum of one shift per month and one observed holiday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing dressing grooming and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature blood pressure and pulse.
- Assist with mobility and transfers including using appropriate assistive devices and techniques.
- Provide basic patient care under the supervision of nursing staff including administering medication as directed.
- Assist with feeding including preparing and serving meals and ensuring patient comfort during mealtimes.
- Observe and report any changes in patient condition or behavior to nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients including tidying patient rooms and changing linens as needed.
- Adhere to all facility policies and procedures including infection control practices and confidentiality requirements.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Attend mandatory training sessions and staff meetings as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid and current CNA certification in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays if needed.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift carry push and pull up to specific weight pounds.
- Ability to stand walk and bend for extended periods.
- Capability to assist with patient mobility and transfers.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in a healthcare facility environment.
- May involve exposure to infectious diseases hazardous materials and potentially stressful situations.
- Requires adherence to all safety and health regulations.
