Job Description

The Department of Ophthalmology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Full Professor positions in the nontenure clinician educator track. Candidates must have completed 3 years of ophthalmology residency and at least 1 year of fellowship in glaucoma. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. American Board of Ophthalmology certification is required.

Teaching responsibilities may include clinical and surgical teaching to residents and fellows. Participation in the medical student teaching curriculum is also possible.

Clinical responsibilities may include medical and surgical care of glaucoma patients.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include development/continuation of an active funded research program in glaucoma. Publication in highimpact journals and presentations at major society meetings is also expected.
