Job Description
We are currently looking for interns for the Fall 2025 Semester!

Want to know more Lets talk about the technicalities! Direct experience opportunities may include but are not limited to:
Assisting the primary clinician in the provision of services to their number of patients during the course of treatment.
Organizing and supervising patient urine screens to ensure samples are collected accurately.
Performing medication counts to measure prescription adherence.
Communicating with collaterals regarding outstanding issues.
Assisting clinicians and staff in group therapy preparation development and cofacilitation.
Assisting in coordination of care.
Drafting case or progress notes and assisting with clinical assessments and treatment plans.
Observing Suboxone referrals and preparing updates to clinical management.
Assisting with status updates court reports and the submission of the Department of Social Services reports.
Observing transfer requests and psychiatric referrals.
Assisting in insurance authorizations.
Performing filing and other administrative duties.
Do you have what it takes
Current enrollment in aMasters level program of Social Work Mental Health or Substance Abuse Counseling or another related Health and Human Services fieldis required. You will not be eligible if you have already completed your degree or if you are not enrolled in the programs listed above. This internship experience must also be a requirement of your degree in order to participateas it is unpaid and for school credit hours only.
Location Information:
Horizon internships are offered at various locations with placement determined based on availability. As part of your application youll have the opportunity to indicate your preferred locations. Since spaces are limited we encourage you to apply promptly to maximize your chances of placement.
Schedule Information:
Our supervisors provide a flexible schedule for interns. However please note that their availability is currently limited to Monday through Friday with no weekend options at this time.
