Our client a locally owned and continually growing marine organization based in Charlottetown PE is seeking an experienced Controller to manage financial operations. This permanent position is ideal for a selfdriven proactive and seasoned professional offering the opportunity to collaborate closely with senior leadership on financial reporting budgeting analysis and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities for the Job:
- Prepare and oversee monthly financial statements
- Support financial planning forecasting and budget preparation
- Provide financial analysis to support business decisions
- Manage treasury functions for multiple entities
- Monitor and enforce financial policies practices and internal controls
- Lead financial projects and process improvements
- Collaborate with and support the accounting team and senior leadership
- Perform other related duties as required
Experience & Attributes for Success:
- Chartered Professional Accountant Designation (CPA) is required
- Strong leadership organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Sage software Payworks and Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook Teams)
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable in a fastpaced environment with shifting priorities
