CMAs headquarters are in Fort Lauderdale with offices in Miami West Palm Beach Orlando and Jacksonville. The firm also has satellite and/or project offices in Atlanta Gainesville Jupiter Port St. Lucie Sarasota and Tampa. CMA currently employs over one hundred and thirty 130 professionals throughout the State of Florida which affords our valued clients toplevel service.

CMA is hiring an entry level or early career Engineer. Candidates should be able to efficiently plan and organize their workload with their team demonstrate success working with a team of professionals a commitment to quality good communication skills and a positive work ethic.

Responsibilities:

  • Candidate shall work on various aspects of civil engineering design plan preparation permitting and construction oversight while working in a project team environment.
  • Candidate would contribute to projects including collecting existing utility data; performing modeling and simulation; site grading; water distribution system; sanitary sewer collection system; drainage analysis; roadway alignment; pavement marking; signage; and erosion control.
  • Prepare project design drawings within MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
  • Develop project specific detail drawings.
  • Calculate project construction quantity estimates.
  • Assist with technical specifications cost estimates reports schedules and other related tasks.
  • Learn and adhere to clientspecific standards.
  • Coordinate with team members and client representatives.
  • Periodic travel to project sites for field investigation and or construction support.
  • Project outlines project initiation project schedules project executions and project closeout.
  • Interface with multidisciplinary design teams.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a bachelors degree in civil or environmental engineering.
  • a masters degree is a plus.
  • 0 2 years of experience working for a firm in the A/E/C industry.
  • EngineerInTraining (EI) designation is preferred. The expectation is that such candidate would be working towards becoming a Professional Engineer (P.E.
  • Excellent technical writing skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Strong sense of urgency project responsibility and initiative
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal written and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of FDOT standards.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
  • Knowledge of Civil 3D and ArcGIS.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply complex systems.
