JOB SUMMARY:
To assist the Controller by keeping accounting records updated supporting
Company operations including planning organizing directing and controlling the financial
activities including general accounting payroll and the standard cost system.
Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in accounting or similar field with 34 years of related work experience in general
accounting and payroll with exposure to accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Proven understanding and practice of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
ERP system exposure and experience Macola 10 experience desired.
Thorough understanding of cost accounting systems.
Thorough understanding of the payroll process including employee and employer payroll taxes
and respective tax filings and reporting.
Experience with 401k and benefit calculations and deductions.
Fluent with MS Office Suite including intermediate Excel capabilities.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Fluent reading writing and speaking English with excellent communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and analyze account reconciliations.
Assist with the compilation and issue of monthly and annual financial statements.
Support and perform backup to accounts payable accounts receivable and payroll.
Prepare documentation for external auditors in support of the annual financial review
Participate in the 401k audit process including support schedules confirmations and other duties
and schedules as needed.
Analyze manufacturing costs comparing actual to standard costs.
Assist with maintaining standard cost system including reviewing and updating labor and burden
rates as well as assisting with standard cost system rolls
