EMBS Engineering Ltd is working in partnership with a leading precision engineering manufacturer located in Northampton that is currently in the market for an Engineering Buyer to join their company on a permanent basis.

Your responsibilities will include:
- As an Engineering Buyer you will be responsible for:
- Managing procurement activities for precisionengineered components ensuring cost quality and delivery objectives are met
- Developing and maintaining strong supplier relationships to ensure a reliable supply chain
- Negotiating pricing contracts and terms with suppliers to secure the best commercial outcomes
- Identifying and implementing costsaving opportunities without compromising quality or performance
- Monitoring supplier performance and addressing any issues related to delivery quality or cost
- Collaborating with internal departments including engineering and production teams to align procurement strategies with business goals
- Working with MRP/ERP systems to manage procurement processes efficiently
- Sourcing and purchasing technical components including turned and milled parts to micron specifications
- Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and quality standards
- Identifying risks within the supply chain and implementing effective mitigation strategies
Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:
- Proven experience in supply chain purchasing/buying within precision engineering or advanced manufacturing environments
- Experience working within highly regulated industries such as Aerospace Automotive Motorsport F1 Defence Nuclear Petrochemical etc.
- Strong expertise in purchasing technical turned or milled components to micron specifications
- Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems with strong analytical negotiation and business management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects work under pressure and maintain a high level of accuracy
- Strong leadership problemsolving and strategic thinking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for supplier and stakeholder engagement
