Your Impact
Axon Records is an innovative cloudbased records management system designed to empower law enforcement agencies managing their operations more effectively. It features several modules that streamline records handling reporting and tracking across various departments within an agency. By minimizing time spent on paperwork the system enables officers to focus more on serving their communities.
In the Axon Records Agency Operations group we are responsible for critical modules including detective investigation tools property tracking internal affairs and workflow tracking. Our success translates into increased efficiency for law enforcement agencies enabling them to solve more cases and providing better service to the communities they protect.
As a Senior Engineer II for Agency Operations you will collaborate closely with a dynamic team of software engineers product managers and designers to drive projects that help us achieve our mission. Reporting to the Director of Engineering you will play a pivotal role in fostering worldclass system architectures and engineering practices across multiple teams.

What Youll Do
Location: Work from home as much as you want live nearby our awesome US R&D Hub inSeattleso you can easily collab inperson when its helpful and be an active part of our vibrant Axon culture
Reports to: Director of Software Engineering
Direct Reports: None
- Design and develop scalable secure highperformance software in this missioncritical space
- Lead technical projects from concept to launch ensuring solution meets business and technical requirements
- Collaborate across teams with Product Design and Engineering to create solutions that delight our customers
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship for engineers across the group
- Partner with Engineering Director on strategic technical vision and direction for the group
- Lead engineering architecture design reviews
- Define and manage roadmaps for the technical backlog
- Continuously evaluate and improve engineering processes across the group to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
What You Bring
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field
- 10 years of professional software development experience
- Experience designing and delivering highlyavailable scalable cloudbased systems
- Fullstack development experience in languages such as Go Java C# Scala TypeScript JavaScript or similar
- Experience working with SQL or NoSQL data stores
- Experience with realtime streaming event log or messaging technologies such as Kafka or ActiveMQ

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company meaning compensation is made up of base pay bonus and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 140000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 250000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors such as: level function training transferable skills work experience business needs geographic market and often a combination of all these factors.
