We are looking for a highly motivated Intern to join our R&D Engineering team!

Our intern program offers students reallife handson experience coaching mentoring and networking opportunities. We are in a hightech fastpaced R&D engineering environment that includes mechanics controls mechatronics optics and systems engineering that will give you the opportunity to work with seasoned engineers and to gain handson industry experience in a company which is developing groundbreaking genomics technology and products that will accelerate our understanding of life biology and disease.

This internship also offers graduates priority consideration for fulltime hires in 2026.

How Youll Contribute

• Work in a fastpaced crossfunctional technologically advanced dynamic environment in an internship program focused on developing individual engineers capable of pursuing careers in any realm of engineering
• Improve your industry knowledge through a collaborative work environment
• Design prototype build and test modules with mechanical fluidic electrical and controls componentry
• Improve existing designs to be more reliable repeatable manufacturable and serviceable
• Maintain troubleshoot and upgrade instruments and test benches

Qualifications Skills Knowledge & Abilities

• Currently a student in an accredited degree program pursuing a bachelors or masters degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Mechatronics Engineering Biomedical/Bioengineering Physics Optical Engineering or closely related disciplines
• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher
• Ability to work onsite work fulltime 40 hours per week) for at least 8 weeks during summer 2025
• Selfmotivated detailoriented willing to learn and interested in working in a team environment
• Great work ethic and an enthusiasm for problemsolving
• Good presentation writing and communication skills
• Strong organizational and analytical skills

At Ultima Genomics this internship pays between $25 and $31 per hour and your hourly rate will depend on your skills qualifications experience and location.
