Saint Lukes Hospital of Kansas City is currently seeking a motivated radiation therapy physicist to join our team serving the Kansas City region. This fulltime position will collaborate with our 6 physicist and 6 dosimetrist team supporting 4 treatment centers treating 110 patients per day. The successful candidate shows initiative and commitment to clinical practice consistent with the ASTRO Accreditation Program for Excellence.
Job Description:
- Clinical medical physics to our allVarian integrated environment that includes 2TrueBeam 221iX and 221EX LINACs 4 CT Simulators Eclipse treatment planning and 1 dedicated HDR facility using a Varisource iX afterloader.
- Provide technical leadership to our clinics and assist the Chief Medical Physicist in optimizing clinical practice and implementing new programs.
- Additionally supports special treatment procedures including frameless stereotactic radiosurgery with OSMS SBRT VMAT treatment delivery and HDR brachytherapy.
- Ensure adherence to departmental policy and state and federal requirements.
Qualifications:
- The Qualified Medical Physicist as defined by the AAPM with current ABR Therapeutic Medical Physicist certification.
- We will consider candidates who have completed Part II of the ABR certification process.
- Experience with Varian equipment and ARIA Record & Verify is preferred.
