Position Summary
Conversion crew members are responsible for the setup and strike of events. They work on teams to accomplish many tasks throughout the building. They may be setting a room for a small dinner or the arena for a large concert. Crew memebers will work different shifts. Sometimes it is needed to work overnight or a day shift. We operate as a team and are looking for teamoriented individuals to be part of our team.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $15 to $18.

About Central Bank Center
Lexington is an active and thriving market that is craving an active and welcoming venue for events. The heart of any thriving community is its downtownand Lexington Center and the historic Rupp Arena are truly the heart of downtown Lexington and one of the most widelyrecognized entertainment venues in North America. Rupp Arena in Lexington Kentucky is fast becoming THE must play venue. The 20000seat arena affectionately referred to by some as the Cathedral of College Basketball is home to the National Champion University of Kentucky mens basketball program and has played host to some of the most talented and awardwinning musicians/artists in the world including U2 Paul McCartney Elton John Justin Timberlake Kenny Chesney Taylor Swift and many others.
Central Bank Center is our convention side with over 99k sf of exhibition space 24k sf each of meeting and ball room space 50k of hospitality space 10k sf of flexible space and over 2500 covered and uncovered parking spaces. Both venues are additionally joined in entertaining this area by the Lexington Opera House showcasing Broadway talent through collaborative bookings of Broadway shows small venue concerts and local arts.

Responsibilities
- Setup and strike event related equipment such as tables chairs risers booths portable stages and assemble and disassemble the basketball court and support equipment.
- Carry out routine maintenance related to and general cleanup duties as required for each event during movein decorator setup/rehearsal event or moveout activity by all lessees of the Central Bank Center complex including Central Bank Convention Center Rupp Arena or the Lexington Opera House.
- Accept direction and other assigned duties from the Conversion Crew Supervisor or Conversion Manager.
- Operate small equipment and machines such as pallet jacks forklifts or boom lifts
- Continually seek improved methods for doing jobs more efficiently.
- Perform other duties as assigned by superiors.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be able to stand stoop kneel and bend for long periods of time.
- Will need to able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Working knowledge of power tools and operation of a forklift/hilift is a plus.
- Ability to effectively communicate and critical thinking involved.
- Valid Drivers License preferred
Knowledge Abilities and Skills
- Ability to work nights weekends and holidays
- Ability to work a varied and flexible work schedule
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to perform various physical tasks
- Ability to operate small equipment and machinery with the proper training
