Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to provide managerial level direction for multiple information technology activities and staffswith OET Infrastructure & Operations while maintaining handson technical work with routersswitches servers storage circuits identity management remote access and other enterpriselevel network infrastructure equipment. To assist Asst CIO for I&O in areas including systemsanalysis technical support networks information services technical staff support storagearea networks network security virtual infrastructures and others as identified by Asst CIOI&O to support Agencys mission and operations.

This position is eligible for Hybrid Telework which is subject to approval from the supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in an Information Technology Business or Management field and six years of information technology experience that must include experience with the following:Information Security Governance Strategic Planning Identity and AccessManagement Network Security Application Security Security Awareness Training Incident Response RiskManagement Security Assessments and Cloud Security two years of which are at a management or supervisory level. Additional information technology experience will substitute on a year for year basis for the Bachelors degree. A related Masters degree will also substitute for one year of the general experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The desired candidate should possess experience in the following:
  1. Managing technical personnel in the areas of network infrastructure server storage telecommunications and datacenter management
  2. Successfully managing IT infrastructure projects on time and on budget
  3. Successfully managing multiple technical projects simultaneously and completing them on or before deadlines
  4. Management responsibility for 24x7x365 wide area local area and metropolitan area networks
  5. Advanced knowledge of OSI Model ITIL principles IT change management principles and data privacy and confidentiality
