Oncall Rotation is required and is scheduled by the Pharmacy Manager

The Specialty Pharmacist is responsible to perform the duties of a licensed pharmacist. Ensures adherence to laws and regulations and maintains compliance with State Board of Pharmacy regulations as well as local state and federal requirements as it pertains to prescriptions.
How you will make an impact:
Primary duties may include but are not limited to:
Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance security and inventory of controlled substances and disposal of designated as hazardous waste.
Ensures compliance with laws governing the practice of pharmacy and distribution of .
Engages in consultation with prescriber regarding providing pharmaceutical care.
Answers questions and provides information to patients on drug interaction side effects dosage and storage of pharmaceuticals.
Ensures that stock and supplies necessary for customer care are ordered stored and handled in an organized and efficient manner.
Lead the activities of pharmacy technicians and delivery/equipment technicians.
Dispenses and compounds drug.
Plans implements and maintains procedures for mixing packaging and labeling pharmaceuticals according to policy and legal requirements and ensures quality security and proper disposal.
Assists the patient delivery representative in orders receiving maintaining and tracking all infusion related equipment.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires BA/BS degree in Pharmacy or Pharm D and minimum of 1 year experience working as a Pharmacist in clinic and/or alternate site/home health pharmacy service; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
Requires current active unrestricted license to practice pharmacy as Registered Pharmacist (RPh).
Multistate licensure is required if this individual is providing services in multiple states.
For Paragon and Carelon Health business unit satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position.
