Job Summary:
Menorah Park is seeking a fulltime Cook variable shift every other weekend off to provide quality cooking services in our dietary services department. This individual contributor role will be paid an hourly rate of $19.87 to 20.39 and will be located in Syracuse New York.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers an hourly rate of $19.87 to 20.39 in addition to potential overtime pay paid vacation and sick time 401K health insurance and other benefits.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Kitchen Manager in the preparation of meals.
Ensure food preparation practices comply with all applicable safety requirements protocols and guidelines.
Maintains cleanliness of kitchen and equipment.
Performs general duties of kitchen organization sanitation food safety and pricing.
Work closely with other departments to ensure efficient delivery of meals.
Adheres to established sanitation regulations food safety procedures and department rules policies and guidelines.
Requirements:
High school education or equivalent.
2 years cooking experience in a high volume kitchen preferred but not required.
Food Handlers Certification/Permit preferred but not required.
Knowledge of proper safety procedures and temperature control.
Ability to work flexible schedules.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
