Position Highlights:
- Shift Schedule:Full time 40 hours) 2nd Shift
- Department:Microbiology
- Location: Winston Salem NC Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center

Education/Experience/Certifications to Qualify:
- Bachelors degree required.
- Eligible for Medical Technologist certification (ASCP) or equivalent certification.
Essential Functions:
- Assure accurate and timely performance of patient procedures and/or issuance of blood products.
- Assure accurate and timely performance of results reporting QC and QA procedures according to departmental policy.
- Follow proper safety and identification procedures when dealing with patients and/or specimens under any circumstance or environment to prevent the spread of bloodborne and/or airborne diseases.
- Improve work skills through selfstudy and continuing education.
- Contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of the section and department.
- Exhibit and promote the professional image of laboratories.
- Adhere to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills interpersonal relationships and team building.
