Biology Teacher Sutton
Salary: MPS/UPS (Outer London) TLR
Contract: Fulltime Permanent
Start Date: September 2025
A highly regarded secondary school in Sutton is seeking a passionate and creative Biology Teacher to join its creative and popular Biology Department. *Please note a TLR is available for a suitably qualified Biology Teacher to assume the role of KS3 Science Coordinator*

Biology Teacher The Role:
- Deliver inspiring and engaging Biology lessons across Key Stages 3 4 and 5 helping students develop a deep understanding and appreciation of literature and language.
- Use creative and innovative teaching methods to engage students and encourage a love of reading and writing.
- Collaborate with the Biology Department to ensure the curriculum is delivered effectively and enriches students learning experience.
- Take on additional responsibilities such as curriculum planning or mentoring with the potential for TLR opportunities for those with the relevant experience.
Biology Teacher The Successful Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a proven ability to deliver highquality teaching that results in excellent student outcomes.
- A degree in Biology Biology Literature or a related subject 2:1 or higher preferred).
- A passion for Biology and the ability to inspire students to excel in reading writing and critical thinking.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Experience or a desire to take on additional responsibilities with leadership potential.
- A collaborative approach to working with colleagues and a drive to contribute to the overall success of the department.
