• Utilizes the nursing process to develop and implement a comprehensive ageappropriate plan of care for stable and critically ill patients and families which promotes optimal patient outcomes.
• Meets the educational and informational needs of the stable and critically ill patient and family utilizing appropriate principles of teaching/learning.
• Promotes safe efficient familycentered care to stable and critically ill patients.
• Delegates nursing care based on knowledge of staff qualifications/competency and patient care requirements.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and attends education programs unit meetings and assigned committees.

• Associates Degree
• Current employees hired before September 1 2013 are grandfathered and permitted to continue in the direct care nursing role.
• Direct care nurses hired after September 1 2013 without a BSN must complete their degree within 5 years of their hire date
• Bachelors Degree
• Preferred for all direct care nurses hired after September 1 2013.
• One of the following: Licensed RN Kansas Registered Nurse Multistate License Kansas required upon hire
• One of the following: Licensed RN MO Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri required upon hire
• RN Compact license for all states besides KS and MO
• MO or KS Mulistate License required within 60 days of hire
• Refer to Nursing and Advanced Practice Provider Licensure and Certification policy for required Life Support Certifications required Upon Hire
• Specialty Certification relevant to units patient population (determined by Nurse Manager/Director) Preferred Upon Hire

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $33.33/hr but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
