We are seeking a motivated Senior Software Section Leader to join the Patriot Software Team within the Air and Missile Defense Software Department. As a Section Leader you will be responsible for the oversight of software personnel to meet program needs. The ideal candidate is a welldisciplined individual with a proven applicable technical background who is able to thrive in a dynamic agile environment and is able to work well in a team setting.

What You Will Do

• Ensure that each employee has suitable work assignments and opportunities for growth and advancement
• Contribute to the technical oversight of employees in support of their daily work assignments
• Performance development and appraisal
• Salary and staffing planning
• Ensuring the adherence to company policies and the communication of company and program information
• Responsible for supporting a major program task within the Patriot domain
• This position requires exclusive onsite presence.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a bachelors in science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of experience.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in functional management leading a medium to large size team
• Lead and / or project management experience
• Experience with complex systems
• The ability to obtain and maintain an interim secret U.S. security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Active Secret security clearance.
• Previous or current experience on Patriot program
• Functional management experience (Managing performance conducting reviews mentoring care and feeding of staff hiring etc).
• Cost / Schedule Management and Reporting experience
• Strong communication interpersonal and decisionmaking skills
• Customer focus and collaboration skills
• Effective presence and influential leadership capability with the ability to interact with senior levels of leadership effectively including customer Raytheon Technologies teammates and suppliers
• Proven experience with software development techniques and tools including some or all of the following computer languages: C and Ada
• Experience in embedded systems realtime systems or largescale applications.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite.

This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS) an agency of the Department of Defense handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. More information about Security Clearances can be found on the US Department of State government website here position is in Tewksbury Massachusetts. The salary range for this role is 124000 USD 250000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
