Job Description
The Sebel Melbourne Ringwood is located in the leafy Eastern Suburbs Gone are the days of having to catch public transport to work in the CBD to experience a stylish work premises.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full Time Chef de Partie to join our team in Ringwood Victoria. As the Chef de Partie you will be responsible for managing and supervising a section of the kitchen ensuring that all preparation and cooking is of the highest standard and that dishes are delivered to customers quickly and efficiently. You will also work closely with the Head Chef to create new dishes design menus and manage the kitchen staff.
Responsibilities:
Prepare food items according to recipes and menus
Ensure that all dishes are cooked to the correct temperature and are presented in an attractive manner
Train and supervise Kitchen Assistants and Commis Chefs
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within your section
Assist in creating new menus and dishes
Comply with health and safety regulations at all times
Manage your section during busy periods ensuring that dishes are delivered quickly
and efficiently
Oversee storage of food ingredients
Work closely with Head Chef to develop new recipes & techniques
Qualifications:
Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or related field
At least 2 years experience as a Chef de Partie in a busy kitchen.
Excellent cooking & food preparation skills.
Good communication & leadership skills.
Ability to work under pressure & handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Indepth knowledge of culinary techniques & foods. Good understanding hygiene &
food safety principles.
