Position Overview

As part of The Rockefeller Foundations Communications team the Senior Associatesupports the development of written and spoken engagements to protect The Rockefeller Foundation and promote the ideas and initiatives essential to humanitys wellbeing.

Reporting to the Managing Director Executive Communications we seek an accomplished and creative researcher writer and strong editor with a commitment to the Foundations mission with deep knowledge of our history and current events. They will serve as an enabler of executive communications thought leaders and media and digital engagement.

Pay Range:$95950 $113435. This represents the present low and high end of the Foundations pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary based on various factors including but not limited to experience.

Work Schedule:This role is on a hybrid work schedule and required to be in the office on Tuesdays Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Research edit and draft speeches opeds articles and other content for the Foundation president and other senior leaders.
  • With the Vice President Communications and the Presidents Office ensure speeches are well coordinated with briefings and other materials.
  • Lead the research and writing for institutional reports and products as needed.
  • Maintain the speech database and the ability to access and collect content.
  • Support largescale projects like book publications.
  • Maintain a database of talking points for use by RF staff.

Education Experience and Skills

  • Generally expected to have 57 years of experience as a speechwriter journalist or in a related contentcreation field.
  • Bachelors degree preferably in media communications journalism public relations marketing or business.
  • Highly skilled editor.
  • Familiarity and comfort with marketing digital and social media tools and the ability to measure and evaluate audience metrics.
  • Proven project management skills deadline management sense of responsibility and accountability and the ability to effectively multitask.
  • Ability to manage contractors to ensure timely highquality work product.
  • Strong interpersonal relationship abilities intercultural knowledge and appreciation strategic partnership building.
  • Exceptional listening written and oral communication skills. Accomplished at communicating and influencing both inside and outside the organization.
  • Prior experience working with a missiondriven organization is a plus.
