Job Description
H2M architects engineers a multidiscipline architectural/engineering/environmental consulting firm seeks a ProfessionalLand Surveyor.Successful candidate will be responsible for selecting and applying standard surveying techniques in the field and office to plan organize and execute land surveying projects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Receive instructions on specific assignments objectives and complex features
- Performs a variety of inoffice and field tasks associated with land surveying projects obtained by the company
- Broad understanding and experience for operating surveying equipment such as Total Stations Data Collectors GPS RTK & Static Observations
- Accurately calculates and records field data
- Reviews job specifications and plans fieldwork methods and costs
- Apply standard scientific/engineering techniques procedures and criteria using judgment in making adaptations of standard methods and techniques in the field and office
- Review and download field data
- Prepare field notes and draw sketches of existing site conditions
- Prepare detailed daily job reports and discuss projects with supervisor on daily basis
- Maintain and troubleshoot complex instrumentation
- Drafting and editing of surveys using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Perform other like duties as assigned
Education and Qualifications:
- Professional Land Surveyor License Required (State of NJ)
- Must have substantial survey experience and strong knowledge of survey calculations techniques and procedures
- Minimum 6 years of experience
- Demonstrated ability to use sound judgement when making decisions
- Valid Drivers license
- Ability to stand climb and walk continuously during an 8hour period
- Ability to perform strenuous work in a varying climate (heat and cold etc)
- Must have good computer skills and be able to learn survey related software
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of AutoCad
The salary range for this role is $80000 $100000 annually.
The employment offer may deviate from this publishedrange based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience specialty knowledge education geography and/or related certifications not related to any applicants characteristics protected by local state or federal law. Note: The salary or hourly rate indicated does not include other forms of compensation or benefits.
